Group A Streptococcus (GAS) is an extremely common cause of illness in children.
Globally, there are approximately 22 new infections every second, and approximately 1 death every minute occurs as a result of these infections.
Our group’s vision is to develop a complete understanding of how GAS infects the tonsils so that we can we can reduce the burden of disease through improved treatments and prevention strategies.
